Our Motorhome Adventures – Roompot Kijkduin

When we arrived we wondered why on earth we had come. The site was huge our pitch number was 266 so goodness knows what the final number was. There were also tents for hire with everything set up so you just turned up and put the kettle on. There were also brick built houses to rent. With all this you can imagine the scene in the entertainment hub at the centre of the site with restaurant, alfresco bar, kids club, swimming pool, supermarket, stage etc., etc., it was absolutely buzzing with an open air stage show for the kids while the adults enjoyed a drink or two at the bar.
The whole site was heaving, people everywhere, fortunately by the following morning, with the young one’s back at school and their parents at work the site was left to the old folks. Much more our sort of place.
There were a number of facilities blocks, the ones we used were clean but as is often the case in The Netherlands there were no hand drying facilities in any of the facilities blocks, there were however hand dryers in the shower areas mounted at head height to do service as hair dryers that could be put to their design purpose.

The whole place had a dilapidated and neglected feel but if you like a site with buzz during the day and evening but quiet and peaceful at night the Roompot Kijkduin could be the perfect place.
