Our Motorhome Adventures – Camperautoterrein Gistel

This was a motorhome only aire in Belgium very close to the E4o motorway, payment by card only at a self service terminal. When we arrived an hour and a half earlier than expected there were just three places available. Within a few minutes of our settling in on one the other two were taken. Over the next few hours there was a steady stream of hopefuls driving round trying to find non-existing free spaces.
Each space cost €14 for 24 hours with an additional €5 for an EHU and €1 to fill your water tank. Black and grey water disposal was free as was rubbish disposal.
We were unfortunate in that there was a concert going on in the stadium behind the aire which unless you were a punk fan or completely tone deaf was AWFUL!!! However when the TV was on it could hardly be heard and although it went on till the early hours did not keep me awake (Sue was not so fortunate).
We would happily return but perhaps not on a Saturday night
